The breath taking, natural beauty of Blackhouse Forest Estate is the closest thing to a fairy-tale setting any bride could wish for.
From arriving via the long sweeping drive through dramatic and atmospheric scenery, to putting on your wedding dress whilst looking out onto the hills and forests beyond, Blackhouse Forest Estate is a unique place to say “I do”.
We will work with you to make your dream a reality and show you every inch of the Estate at your disposal for a unique wedding setting that is entirely yours for the occasion.
We know you want your wedding to be unique and memorable for all the right reasons. That’s why we have opened up our entire estate to you, to choose the place you’d most like to say your vows.
The lovingly restored barn provided a blank canvas for you to dress and can accommodate 50 guests for the ceremony and celebration.
You may choose to say your vows in the fairy tale woodland or opt for natural landscape or the water of the lochan or burn as your backdrop with the birds providing the soundtrack. In Scotland you can legally get married outdoors, as long as a minister or celebrant is present.
You bring the happy couple, and we’ll do the rest. The only limit is your imagination.
The adjoining restored sheep pens offer a myriad of possibilities from outdoor bar, safe dedicated children’s play area, in fact almost anything you can think of!
As part of our extensive restoration of the estate, we are in the process of bringing the original open-air sheep roundel, dating back over 100 years, back from ruins, to become a unique place for your wedding ceremony to take place.
And , with so much space we can literally offer you a wedding where no-one has ever got married before.
We believe that the memories of your wedding day should never fade: the vows spoken, the promise made, the tears shed, the words of love uttered, the laughter and mirth, the dreams for the future. To celebrate your wedding, we would like to give you a living memory of the day that will, like your marriage, place strong roots today then flourish and grow.
In a location of your choosing on the estate, we will plant a sapling oak tree along with three other species of trees and ensure that they are protected and allowed to flourish. You will be presented with a certificate showing the plot of land that your trees are on and we will guarantee that only your trees will be planted there.
We know there are lots of things to consider when booking your wedding. We’re happy to recommend some fantastic businesses whose work we know will make your big day go well.
We can also work with your preferred suppliers so get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.
